The Chogoria route is less crowded since it takes longer, but that the scenes on this route more than make up for it. there is a little bit of everything ;loud and splashing Nithi falls, clean and sparkly rivers and springs, the Mugi hills perfect for bird watching and the magnificent lake Michaelson with the Temple above it. This route is popular and often has a lot of hikers since it is the fastest to get to peaks. The vertical bog unique to this route, gives hikers a hard time especially in rainy seasons. We recommend spending an extra night at the Naromoru River Lodge, which is at the base for acclimatization. This can be arranged for at an extra fee.
